Strength & Conditioning Classes for All Levels

Coached group workouts, a crew that saves you a spot, and coffee on the patio after.

Looking for strength training classes in Atlanta?

Strength + Conditioning at Phys. Ed. is a coached group class where you lift, move, and get your heart pumping alongside your neighbors.

Class is in session six times a day on weekdays and once on Saturday. Beginners are welcome, and so are those who have been lifting for years.

What is Strength + Conditioning?

It’s a group workout that mixes lifting with movement and a little cardio. Most days, you’ll work through a circuit, which is a short series of exercises you rotate through. You might pair a squat or deadlift with rowing, kettlebell swings, or bodyweight moves. Your coach explains each one, so you never need to know the lingo first.

Every Level Belongs Here.

New to lifting? Perfect. Returning after a long break? Welcome back. Every class is scaled, which means your coach adjusts the weight, the pace, and the movements to fit you. Two people can do the same workout side by side and each have exactly the right challenge. Nobody here is behind.

What to Expect:

Flow: A short warm-up, a coached skill or lift, the workout, then a cool-down

Class length: About an hour, from warm-up to cool-down

Bring: Water and shoes you can move in

Arrive: About ten minutes early on your first day, so we can introduce you to your coach and the crew

Strength + Conditioning FAQ's

You've got questions, and we've got answers.

What is Strength + Conditioning?

It’s a coached group workout that combines lifting, movement, and cardio. Your coach leads the warm-up, teaches the exercises, and scales everything to you.

I’m new to lifting. Is this class for me?

Yes. Every class scales to where you are, and our coaches do this every day. Walking into a new gym is the hardest part. We’ll meet you at the door.

I’m out of shape. Should I get stronger first?

Totally fine to start now. You don’t need to prepare. You get stronger by showing up, and your coach will pick a weight and pace that work for you.

How long is a class?

About an hour, including warm-up and cool-down.

What should I bring?

Water and shoes you can move in. We’ll handle the rest.

Can I take a class if I have an injury?

Tell your coach before class and we’ll adjust. For anything ongoing, check with your doctor first.

How much does it cost?

Unlimited strength and training is $185 a month. Punch cards are $105 for four classes, $145 for eight, and $165 for twelve. A drop-in is $25.

Can I try a class first?

Yes. Book a free intro class, with no pressure and no pitch.

Do I need to reserve a spot?

Booking ahead helps us plan for your coach. If a class is full, you’ll go on the waitlist, and we’ll text you if a spot opens.

What’s your cancellation policy?

We ask for 24 hours’ notice so a neighbor on the waitlist can take your spot.

Can I bring my kids?

Classes are for adults, but plenty of members bring their kids on Saturday to hang out and play outside.

What’s the difference between a class and Open Gym?

Classes are coached and run on a set schedule. Open Gym is self-guided time to train on your own.

Phys. Ed. offers fitness and wellness experiences, not medical advice.

If you have a health condition, injury, or concern, check with your doctor before starting something new.
